Elections writing

WALT: Write an effective argument for our chosen political party.
INTRODUCTION

Is National the party for you well I think so, because there are things like benefits and more for you.I think that National is the better party because not only do they have good policies but they have most of the votes at the moment. I am going to cover three great policies that are going win most votes. The first policy I am going to go over is...National would provide work experience or training to young people who have been unemployed for more than six months.

National would provide work experience or training to young people who have been unemployed for more than six months. National would aim to have 50,000 people in apprenticeships by 2020. National would work with industry training organisations to develop a plan to achieve this goal. There were 43,000 people in apprenticeships and apprentice-like training in 2016. It “s good because lots of people get paid. And more jobs for everyone. Furthermore, it would be good if our waters would be cleaner.

Continue funding projects that improve freshwater management. National would continue to fund projects that improve freshwater management. This funding would come from a $100 million Freshwater Improvement Fund set up by the National Government in 2017 for use over the next decade. The fund is targeted at water bodies that are showing signs of stress but have not yet reached a point where it is very expensive to restore them to good health. It is good because sea life will be able live. It is good because then we can go swimming and do other . Next is what I am against .

Aim for all lakes and rivers to be swimmable within a generation. This is a bad policy because if people were swimming in rivers and lakes more trash will accumulate around where people were swimming. Another thing about this is that there would be a higher risk of injuries , because there would not be as many people to be around to help you if something did happen. The wildlife would be in danger as well. And lastly my conclusion.

National has got some very good policies and they come with a good point too and that is why I think National is the best party. Nationals policies are good and helpful to most people and that's why people most vote for National. I have talked about the following policies,
Continue funding projects that improve freshwater management.
National would provide work experience or training to young people who have been unemployed for more than six months. Are you sure you want labour to win?

My next steps are:my next step is to use more and different punctuation.

current events

WALT: I can successfully research a current event.
Here is a link to our online modelling book for this unit of learning.

The National Standard that I have been aiming for during this unit of learning is

  • Year7/8: I can use appropriate skills and technologies to find and use a range of texts for specific purposes.

Each week we have read a short text about a current event/ topic. We then formed questions based on what we had read.  After this we researched the answers to our questions and finally we gave our opinions on what we had found out.

Here is some evidence of my learning.

Describe Map One describe map

Describe map Two describe map

My Next Step is to continue to  apply the reading and  research skills that I have learned in a variety of other areas.

In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae.

A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history.

Here is a link to our online Modelling Book that shows the process we have followed.

Three things that I have learned about writing a Curriculum Vitae are:

  1. spelling

Games with minimal or no equipment.

In PE we have been participating in a variety of games that require little or no equipment.
Below is the Matrix which shows our progression in this unit of learning.

Screen Shot 2017-03-12 at 12.32.06 PM.png

The table below shows my understanding of games with minimal or no equipment.

Examples of Games that need minimal or no equipment.
What equipment would we usually need to play these games.
Why do we play games with minimal or no equipment?
octopus
tag
invisible tag

nothing
nothing
bibs
to have fun and have something to do

My Strengths.
Some things that I have done well during this unit of learning are co-operating because i got stuck in when we were playing the games.

My Next Steps.
Some things I could improve on when playing games with minimal or no equipment are to be faster  Because then it will make it harder for the other team to tag me.
